Medical transfer from Ruatoria to Gisborne Hospital

9 months ago - Thursday 29th June
• 1000 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Ruatoria to an 18 y/o male patient, with a medical condition, requiring transport to Gisborne Hospital.

Water rescue of Marine Parade

9 months ago - Wednesday 28th June
• 1425 hours Tasked by Police to respond to a water rescue off Marine Parade in Napier, with multiple persons in the water. Initially an 18 y/o female was winched from the sea approx. 80 to 100 metres off-shore, where she was supported by a Policeman who had swam to her rescue, the helicopter returned to sea to winch out the policeman and a boat from Napier Port and Coast Guard recovered the 3rd person from the water.

Medical transfer from Wairoa

9 months ago - Tuesday 27th June
• 1525 hours At the request of Hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 22 y/o female patient with a medical condition.

MVA in Frasertown and MVA in Putorino

9 months ago - Sunday 25th June
• 0935 hours Tasked by Air Desk to an MVA on a rural road at Frasertown, where a front seat passenger sustained a neck injury, the 50 y/o female was flown to Gisborne Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
• 1309 hours Tasked by Air Desk to an MVA at Putorino where the motorcycle slipped on a wet surface, the 63 y/o male motorcyclist suffered rib and chest injuries, he was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital.

Sudden onset medical condition transfer

9 months ago - Saturday 24th June
• 0915 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa to an 84 y/o female patient with sudden onset of a medical condition, the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Brain bleed transfer to Wellington

9 months ago - Tuesday 20th June
• 1120 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wellington with a 61 y/o male patient with a brain bleed, the patient was accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.

Overturned excavator, pregnancy complications and a cardiac transfer to Wellilngton

10 months ago - Thursday 15th June
• 1350 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Pourerere to an incident where an excavator was operating on slippery ground and slipped and overturned, trapping the operator under the digger. The digger driver was extracted by FENZ staff, and found to have minor injuries – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.
• 1745 hours At the request of the hospital transported a 31 y/o female with pregnancy complications to Wellington Hospital – the patient was accompanied by a Midwife and our Critical Care Paramedic.
• 2154 hours Soon after return from the previous mission to Wellington, requested by hospital to transport a 68 y/o female patient with a cardiac condition to Wellington hospital – the patient was accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.

MVA in Wairarapa

10 months ago - Wednesday 14th June
• 1715 hours Tasked by Air Desk to attend an MVA at Mt Bruce in Wairarapa, soon after take-off the helicopter was stood down.

Cardiac transfer to Wellington and transfer from Wairoa

10 months ago - Saturday 10th June
• 1330 hours At the request of Air Desk waited for arrival of a St John Ambulance for helipad handover of a 44 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition requiring urgent transfer to Wellington hospital.
• 1825 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Flight Nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 65 y/o male patient with a medical condition.

MVA and Wairoa transfer

10 months ago - Friday 9th June
• 0915 hour Tasked by Air Desk to Waipukurau to an MVA where a 40 y/o female suffered injuries as a result of jumping from a moving vehicle - the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
• 1500 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 71 y/o male patient with a medical condition.
