Slip & fall and Wairoa hospital transfer

16 months ago - Wednesday 7th December
• 0827 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Kereru where a 77 y/o male slipped and fell on a wet surface and sustained suspected rib injuries - the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for assessment and treatment.
• 1000 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a doctor and flight nurse to retrieve a female patient, aged in her 20’s, with a medical condition.

Farm bike accident and Wairoa hospital transfer

16 months ago - Monday 5th December
• 0940 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Putorino to a farm bike accident where a female child sustained a neck injury – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for assessment and treatment.
• 1500 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with two members of the hospital flight team to retrieve a female patient with a medical condition.

Head injury transfer to Wellington

16 months ago - Sunday 4th December
• 2100 hours At the request of the hospital transported a 56 y/o male patient, with a head injury sustained in a motor bike accident to Wellington Hospital. The patient was accompanied by Doctor and Flight Nurse.

Head injury transfer from Wairoa

16 months ago - Saturday 3rd December
• 1715 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa, with a flight nurse to retrieve a 25 y/o male patient with a head injury.

Two MVA's

16 months ago - Friday 2nd December
• 1845 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Patoka to a single vehicle MVA, where the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle and ran off the road – the 27 y/o female occupant of the vehicle was flown to Hawke’s Bay hospital.
• 2200 hours Tasked by Air Desk to an MVA at Tikokino, a 48 y/o female with critical head injuries was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Wairoa medical transfer

16 months ago - Thursday 1st December
• 0046 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa, with a flight nurse to retrieve a 66 y/o female patient with a medical condition.

Cardiac condition, Missing persons search and a Wairoa transfer

16 months ago - Wednesday 30th November
• 1654 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa, with a flight nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 63 y/o female patient with a cardiac condition.
• 1745 hours Whilst waiting at Wairoa Hospital for patient handover (see mission above), requested by Police to conduct a search for a person missing at sea as a result of a boat rollover. The search was unsuccessful.
• 2055 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa, with a flight nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 90 y/o female patient with a medical condition.

MVA and two trips to Wairoa

16 months ago - Tuesday 29th November
• 1015 hours Tasked by Air Desk to attend an MVA at Tangoio with 2 patients involved, the helicopter transported a 23 y/o male patient with critical life-threatening injuries to Hawkes Bay Hospital, whilst the second patient with minor injuries was transported by road ambulance.
• 1500 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa, with a flight nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 63 y/o male patient with a head injury sustained in a fall.
• 1750 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa, with a flight nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 83 y/o male patient with a medical condition.

Helipad handover to Wellington

16 months ago - Sunday 27th November
• 0956 hours At the request of Air Desk met a St John Ambulance for helipad handover of a patient with a cardiac condition requiring immediate transfer to Wellington. Adverse weather meant the helicopter could not get to Wellington so arrangements were made for patient hand over to Wellington Free Ambulance at Paraparaumu Airport.

Medical transfer from Pōrangahau

16 months ago - Saturday 26th November
• 0845 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Pōrangahau to a 72 y/o male patient with a medical condition. It was determined that road transport was more appropriate for the patient so our Critical Care Paramedic attended the patient on the road journey to hospital.
