Funding

Our service is funded through generous community support and the government. The cost to operate an air medical and search and rescue service is significant. This includes, but is not limited to, mission costs comprising fuel, crew salaries and the essential infrastructure like specialist equipmenttraining and other vital operational services

Total Cost

Annual costs are significant and include operational, infrastructure and equipment to cater for any need. Support towards costs is sourced via the government and critically, local donors, sponsors, grant providers and supporters across the community

Community Support

Approximately 20% of our service is funded by the incredible community of Hawke’s Bay. It’s because of people like you that our crew is there to save lives, any time, day or night, every day of the year.

Government Funding

The approximate remaining 80% of our Rescue Helicopter Service is funded by the Government – through ACC, NZ Police, or Health NZ, depending on the mission.

Help keep the Wallace Foundation Hawke's Bay Rescue Helicopter flying.

Together, we can ensure this essential service is here when our community needs it most
