Creating a community fundraising event doesn’t have to be a huge undertaking. Every little bit helps us to save lives in Hawke’s Bay. Whether you raise $50, or $5,000, you’ll be helping to keep our service available, 24/7, free of charge for the Hawke’s Bay Region.
Fundraise for Us
There are many ways you could fundraise for us.
Thank you so much for showing an interest in fundraising for our Rescue Helicopter! We have to raise approximately $1.4 million every single year to keep our service available 24/7, and free of charge to the Hawke’s Bay Region. Community Fundraising is so important for us and every bit helps, big or small, your donation will enable us to save more lives in Hawke’s Bay. You never know when you or someone you love may need our service.

Heli Dinner with Friends
It doesn’t have to be complicated. How about bringing your nearest and dearest around for a Heli Dinner?!
Email us at mfm@hbhrt.org.nz for a special copy of our menu and invites that you can use for your event.
People can either bring cash to your event to donate, or donate on our website referencing your event
Sausage Sizzle
Book in with your local store who offer sausage sizzle facilities, for example, Bunnings, Mitre 10, or outside a participating supermarket.

Grab a few volunteers, follow recommended health and safety, and get fundraising for your local chopper
Bake Sale
How about a Bake Sale in your workplace, school or with your friends?
Everyone gets busy, baking their favourite delights, then you come together and sell each goody to raise funds for our Rescue Helicopter!

Who doesn’t love a sweet treat for a good cause?
Quiz Night
Hire your local community hall, sell tickets and get quizzing!
You can ask local businesses if they’d be willing to donate a prize for the quiz winner.

Personal Challenge
A marathon? 10,000 steps a day? Giving up sugar or alcohol for a month? Walking the length of NZ?
What do you think? Could you set yourself a challenge to raise money to save lives in Hawke’s Bay?
