Hospital Transfer to Wellington

7 years ago - Weds 19 April (10:30) Transported a male patient with cardiac complications from Hawke's Bay Hospital to Wellington Hospital.

Hospital Transfer to Hawke's Bay Hospital

7 years ago - Weds 19 April (1300) Returned a male patient recovering from a cardiac operation from Wellington to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Rescue from the Ruahines

7 years ago - Sunday 16 April (05:30) Responded by the Rescue Co-ordination Centre to extract two missing hunters and three Land Search and Rescue (SAR) team members, from the Ruahine Range. The lost party had been located by the Land SAR team during the night and had requested a helicopter recovery, due to the cold temperature and the deteriorating condition of the missing party. All members were recovered and flown back to Taihape.

Rescue from Kereru

7 years ago - Saturday 15 April (11:00) The rescue helicopter was responded by the Rescue Co-ordination Centre after a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) was activated near Kereru. The crew located a female in her 70’s who had fallen from her horse on to rocks in a steep river valley, sustaining chest injuries. St John Intensive Care Paramedics attended to her, before she was flowed to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.

Rescue from the Ruahines

7 years ago - Saturday 15 April (13:30) Another Personal Locator Beacon was activated in the Ruahine Range and the helicopter responded at the request of the Rescue Co-ordination Centre and the Ambulance Communication Centre. Two hunters were found on a steep ridge line covered in dense bush. An Intensive Care Paramedic from St John was winched through the bush canopy, to assess the scene. A male in his 20’s was found with a suspected broken leg, he was secured at the scene prior to being winched out of the bush and flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for treatment.

Rescue from Waimarama

7 years ago - Saturday 15 April (20:00) Responded to Waimarama beach to airlift a young girl who had broken he arm. She was attended to be St John Paramedics prior to being flown with her mother to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Hospital Transfer to Waikato

7 years ago - Friday 14 April (10:00) Transported a male patient with neurological complications from Hawke’s Bay Hospital to Waikato Hospital.

Rescue from a Ship

7 years ago - Friday 14 April (13:30) Received a tasking from the Rescue Co-ordination Centre to winch recover a male in his 60’s from a ship that was conducting a seismic survey 50nm off the coast from Cape Kidnappers. The crew winched a St John Intensive Care Paramedic to the bow of the ship to first attend the patent. The Paramedic and patient where then winched back into the helicopter, and flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

7 years ago - Friday 14 April (17:00) Transported a male patient from Wairoa to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Hospital Transfer to Wellington

7 years ago - Weds 12 April (13:00) Transported a female patient with cardiac problems from Hawke’s Bay Hospital to Wellington Hospital.
