YOUR Supporter Connection Survey!

We hope your 2025 has been wonderful and safe so far! It’s hard to put down on paper what your support means to us. You, and other incredible people like you, ensure lives are saved in Hawke’s Bay with our service being available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, free of charge to anyone in our beautiful region.

We have just completed our 2025 Survey Supporter Connection Survey and we would love your response

Please give your feedback in our survey so we can do our best to communicate with you as one of our cherished donors. It would mean the world to us and we can’t wait to read your responses!

We do have one more thing to ask.....

As you would expect, running a Rescue Helicopter Service is not a cheap undertaking. We must fundraise approximately $1.4 million every single year to keep saving lives in Hawke’s Bay. On top of that fundraising, we have equipment costs to ensure our helicopter hangar is up to standard.

We must upgrade our outdoor Helipad lights. They are a vital part of our hangar and ensure our team can land safely at nighttime with lights giving them clear visibility to land in a residential area.

The cost of this is $36,541.

At nighttime, our crew fly with Night Vision Goggles to ensure they have visibility when flying to locations and landing in remote areas. These are great when flying outside of main urban areas, but these must be removed when flying into densely populated areas as the light pollution interferes with the goggles.

This is why we need special lights on our helipad which do not interfere with the crew’s goggles but also safely light up the area, for not only us, but if other rescue helicopters come to our aid in times of need, like they did when Cyclone Gabrielle wreaked havoc across our region.

This is an essential safety feature for our rescue helicopter hangar, and we are asking you today, if you could contribute towards this vital piece of equipment.

Your gift, big or small, can help our hardworking crew immensely. Take care and keep safe.

Cheers
