2000 hours Tasked by Police to conduct an aerial search of Napier

Mahia

5 years ago - Wednesday 20th November
1400 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia to a male patient with a respiratory problem, he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Sherenden

5 years ago - Tuesday 19th November
1515 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Sherenden to a male patient involved in a motor vehicle accident, where he suffered neck injuries, he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.

A busy Sunday

5 years ago - Sunday November 17th
• 0930 hours Tasked to Mahia to a male patient with a medical condition, the patient was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for assessment and treatment.
• 1515 hours Flew to Wairoa with a DHB flight team to retrieve an elderly male patient who suffered fractures as a result of a fall.
• 1800 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a motor vehicle accident (single car) at Waipunga on SH-5, where a female occupant suffered limb injuries as a result of the vehicle rollover. The other 2 occupants in the vehicle escaped injury. The injured lady was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for assessment and treatment.

Cardiac Patient

5 years ago - Saturday November 16th
1450 hours Tasked by the Air Desk to meet a road ambulance with a male patient, aged in his 50’s, from Bayview, who suffered a heart attack and required immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital. The helicopter flew to Napier Airport to meet the road ambulance. Adverse weather prevented the helicopter getting through to Wellington so the patient was flown to Paraparaumu Airport and transferred to another road ambulance for final transfer to Wellington Hospital.

Maternity Transfer

• 1730 hours tasked by DHB to fly a midwife and flight nurse to Wairoa to a female maternity patient

Tarawera for Hunter with Knee Injury

5 years ago - Saturday 9th November
1630 hours Tasked by Police to Tawarewa, to a hunter with a moderate knee injury – he was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Motorcyclist Accident at Pourere

5 years ago - Friday 8th November
1015 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Pourerere to a male motorcyclist who fell and sustained serious hip injuries – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for treatment.

Busy Thursday for the crew

5 years ago - Thursday 7th November
0500 hours Transported a female patient with a cardiac compliant, and a DHB flight team, to Wellington Hospital.
0900 hours Transported a DHB Doctor and Flight Nurse to Wairoa Hospital to retrieve a male patient with a stab wound, the patient was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

MVA in Waihau

1700 hours tasked by Air Desk to Waihau (between Ruapunga and Wairoa) to a male patient aged, in his 60’s, who was involved in a motor bike accident and sustained serious head injuries; he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.
