Two trips to Wairoa to bring patients back to Hawke's Bay Hospital

1000 Transported a patient who was in early stages of labour from Wairoa Hospital to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

1900 Tasked to Wairoa to meet St John’s ambulance to pick up a teenage male with a medical condition to be transported back to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Waimarama

7 years ago - Sunday 10 December 15:30 Called to Waimarama for a boy who was thought to be drowning. When the helicopter arrived the boy had been safely removed from the water, he was assessed by a St John Intensive Care Paramedic who determined that transport was not necessary.

A Busy Saturday for the Rescue Chopper!

7 years ago - Saturday 9 December

1040 Responded to a farm west of Porangahau for a 57 year old male that sustained leg injuries from a quad bike that rolled over onto him on farm land. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.

1230 Responded to a wool shed at a farm at Omakere for a 49 year old male who sustained head injuries and minor burns from an electric shock whilst shearing sheep. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.

1400 Responded to Mahia for a 58 year old male who sustained a dislocated hip from a minor fall at home. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.

Female patient having seizures transferred to Hawke's Bay Hospital

7 years ago - Friday 8 December 1030 Transported a female patient, who was having seizures, from Wairoa Hospital to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Cardiac Arrest in Ongaonga

7 years ago - Wednesday 6 December 1200 Responded to a 55 year old male with a cardiac arrest in Ongaonga. He was in serious condition and was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment

Two PLB Activations

7 years ago - Tuesday 5 December

1200 Responded by Rescue Coordination Centre to a beacon activation to a farm in Waipukarau to a quad bike accident, where a female patient, in her 70’s sustained pelvis and rib injuries. She was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital further treatment.

2100 Responded to a beacon activation from the Rescue Coordination Centre to the Ngawapurua Hut, where a 4 year old boy was missing and his parents were searching for him. He was located safe and well close by, so the helicopter returned to base.

Cardiac Patient transferred to specialists in Wellington Hospital

7 years ago - Monday 4 December 1300 Transported a 61YO male patient with a cardiac problem from Hawke’s Bay Hospital to Wellington Hospital.

Back injury patient from Ongaonga and 15 year old unconscious on Waipataki Beach.

7 years ago - Sunday 3rd December

0900 Hours
The Rescue Helicopter was tasked to a private hut west of Ongaonga to a 63 y.o. female suffering a back injury. She was given pain relief at the scene before being flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.

1250 Hours
The Rescue Helicopter was called to Waipataki Beach to a teenage girl who was pulled from the water by by-standers, she was unconscious when the helicopter arrived. She was transported to Hawkes Bay Hospital for further treatment.

Transported a 63YO female patient with respiratory problems from Wairoa Hospital to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Wairoa Transfers

7 years ago - Sunday 26 November
0700 The helicopter was called to Wairoa Hospital to a female patient her 40’s, who was having seizures – she was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.

1130 The helicopter returned to Wairoa Hospital to a 2 year old girl who was suffering from seizures – she was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
