Maternity transfer from Wairoa

10 months ago - Monday 15th May
• 2215 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa, with a midwife and our Critical Care Paramedic, to retrieve a 29 y/o female maternity patient.

2 x Wairoa transfer and a PLB activation

10 months ago - Sunday 14th May
• 1000 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa to retrieve a 66 y/o male patient with a medical condition – he was accompanied by a Flight Nurse and Critical Care Paramedic
• 1317 hours Tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to respond to a PLB activation in Kaimanawa Ranges, where we found a 41 y/o female tramper with a dislocated knee – the tramper was retrieved by winch rescue and flown to Rotorua Hospital for treatment.
• 2100 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa to retrieve a 48 y/o male patient requiring medical treatment next day in Hawke’s Bay Hospital – the patient was accompanied by our Critical Care Paramedic

2 x Cardiac and 2 x Maternity transfers

10 months ago - Saturday 13th May
• 0425 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Flight Nurse and Midwife to a 23 y/o female maternity patient – she was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital.
• 1030 hours At the request of hospital transported a 23 y/o female maternity patient (not the same patient as the previous mission) to Wellington Hospital – the patient was accompanied by a midwife and Critical Care Paramedic.
• 1453 hours Tasked by Air Desk to meet a St John Ambulance at the helipad for handover of a 62 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital.
• 1850 hours At the request of hospital transported a 72 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition to Wellington – the patient was attended by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.

Chest pain, Cardiac condition and Choking

10 months ago - Friday 12th May
• 1200 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa to a 61 y/o male patient with a chest pain – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1315 hours At the request of hospital flew a 76 y/o female patient with a cardiac condition to Wellington Hospital.
• 1700 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Waimarama to a report of a choking patient – upon arrival it was found that the patient had recovered and that transport or medical attention was not required.

Five return transfers to Wairoa

10 months ago - Thursday 11th May -
• 1100 hours At the request of hospital returned an 84 y/o female to Wairoa – she was accompanied by a Flight Nurse and Critical Care Paramedic, On the return journey transported a further two patients to Hawke’s Bay hospital.
• 1452 hours Requested by hospital to return three post-operative patients back to Wairoa.

Two falls at home

10 months ago - Wednesday 10th May
• 1450 hours At the request hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve an 84 y/o female who had fallen at home – she was brought to Hawke s Bay Hospital for assessment.
• 1700 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Flight Nurse and Critical care Paramedic to retrieve an 85 y/o female who had fallen at home - she was brought to Hawke s Bay Hospital for assessment.

Helipad handover and Wairoa transfer

11 months ago - Tuesday 9th May
• 1000 hours Tasked by Air Desk to meet a St John Ambulance at the helipad for handover of a 69 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital.
• 1530 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Flight Nurse and Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 58 y/o female with a medical condition.

Maternity complications

11 months ago - Saturday 6th May
• 0530 hours At the request of the hospital, flew to Wairoa, with a Midwife and Flight Nurse, to retrieve a 21 y/o female with a maternity problem.

Two young patients from Wairoa and a Stroke Patient to Wellington

11 months ago - Friday 5th May
• 1000 hours At the request of hospital, flew to Wairoa with 2 members of the hospital flight team to retrieve 2 young patients – firstly a 5 month old baby with a respiratory problem, and secondly a 2 y/o male patient with a medical condition.
• 1500 hours At the request of the hospital transported an 81 y/o female patient suffering from a stroke to Wellington Hospital.

Suspected Appendicitis

11 months ago - Thursday 4th May
• 1046 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa, with a Flight Nurse and our own Critical Care Paramedic, to retrieve a 33 y/o male patient with suspected appendicitis.
