Quad Bike Rollover and Hospital Transfer

• Tasked to Patoka for a 35yo male suffering from leg injuries after a quad bike rollover, he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
• Transferred a teenage male patient with a hernia from Wairoa to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Brain Injury Patient

Transported a female patient with a brain injury from Wairoa Hospital to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Kaweka Forest Winch Rescue

Friday 6 July
The rescue helicopter was responded to a hut in the Kaweka Forest park for a 33 year old male who tripped and fell on a walking track and sustained a fractured lower leg. He was given pain relief and stabilised at the scene by a St John Paramedic before being winched out, and transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.

Wellington Hospital Transfer

Transported a female patient with cardiac problems from Hawke’s Bay Hospital to Wellington Hospital.

Horse Accident

Tasked to pick up a 14yo female who had fallen from her horse on a farm at Matapiro and suffered a concussion. We transported her to Hawke’s Bay hospital

Wairoa and Wellington transfers

Transported an infant patient with breathing problems from Wairoa Hospital to Hawke’s Bay Hospital
Transported a male with head injuries from Hawke’s Bay Hospital to Wellington Hospital.

Quad Bike Accident and Nuhaka Car Accident

Flew a patient with a broken leg as a result of a quad bike rollover, from a rural location inland from Norsewood to Hawke’s Bay hospital.

Tasked to Nuhaka in Northern Hawke’s Bay for a truck versus car road accident, with 2 deceased at the scene, and we flew one male patient with multiple critical injuries to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Rocket Lab

Transported a team of fire fighters to the Rocket Lab launch site at Mahia.

Wairoa Hospital Transfers

Transported a male with a major hand injury from Wairoa Hospital to Napier airport, where he was transferred to a fixed wing air ambulance for further transport to Hutt Hospital.

Transported a male patient with cardiac problems from Wairoa Hospital to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Kaweka Ranges Winch Rescue

8 years ago - Sunday 24 June
1600 The rescue helicopter was responded to the Kaweka ranges for a 22 year old male who was out pig hunting in thick bush and had hypothermia. Due to the terrain a paramedic was winched down into the creek bed to retrieve the patient. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
