Cyclone Gabrielle

13 months ago - Due to Cyclone Gabrielle unfortunately it is not possible to provide the usual breakdown of missions. There were multiple helicopters operating in the area and were swapped around the bases as part of the SRSL operating group, so at times our crew were operating in an out of area helicopter.

We have estimated the Hawke’s Bay based crew flew at least 19 missions around Hawke’s Bay, some of the missions were multiple patient retrievals, and/or welfare checks, as well as the usual pre-hospital retrievals and inter hospital transfers.
