The rescue helicopter was called to Lake Waikaraemoana, and landed at Tuai. Unfortunately the patient had deceased before the helicopter arrived on scene.
The helicopter fulfilled a promotional commitment to Hawkes Bay Rugby Union and Unison to deliver the Junior Magpie of The Day and the game ball to the rugby – Hawkes Bay Magpies vs Manawatu Turbos
The rescue helicopter was responded to a motor-cross event on a farm at Patoka where a 40 year old male sustained chest and abdominal injuries when he fell from his bike and was then hit from behind by another rider. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.

The rescue helicopter was responded by the Rescue Coordination Centre to a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) activation at the Waterfall Hut in the Ruahine Ranges. A 49 year old male sustained a fractured hand following a fall. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
The rescue helicopter was tasked to Masterton to transport a female patient, in her 60’s, from Masterton Hospital to the Intensive Care Unit at Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
The rescue helicopter was responded to a beach south of Cape Kidnappers for a 55 year old male who rolled his quad bike on the beach, and sustained shoulder and back injuries. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
16 months ago - Saturday 7 October - Transported a female with pregnancy complications from Wairoa Hospital to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
16 months ago - Friday 6 October - Transported a male with a cardiac condition from Wairoa Hospital to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
16 months ago - Thursday 5 October - Responded to Mahia to pick up an 58yo male with a dislocated his hip. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
16 months ago - Wednesday October 4th - 9:30 a.m. - The rescue helicopter was called to a remote location between Tangoio and Tutira for a 15 year old male who had an accident from his motor bike and sustained a suspected fracture to the collar bone. He was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for further treatment.
16 months ago - Sunday 01 October - 1400 - The rescue helicopter was involved in a combined Police & Coastguard training exercise along the coast line north of Napier Port, simulating a rescue from an over-turned boat.
16 months ago - Saturday 29th September - 1200 - The Helicopter was tasked to the Mohaka River, approx. 1 hour walk below the Te Puia Springs DOC hut, to a 14 y.o. boy with an ankle injury. He was airlifted to Hawkes Bay Hospital for further treatment.
16 months ago - Wednesday 27 September
1400 Responded by Police to search the waters out from the Mohaka river mouth, following a possible sighting of people in the water. No one was found so the helicopter returned to base.
1700 Transported a male patient from Wairoa hospital to Hawke’s Bay Hospital with breathing problems
16 months ago - Sunday September 24th - 1200 The rescue helicopter was called to Nuhaka in Northern Hawke's Bay for a female patient aged in her 80’s, with stroke-like symptoms. The lady was flown to Hawke's Bay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
