Wairoa transfer and 2 missions in Ruatoria

16 months ago - Wednesday 13th September
• 1518 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa hospital with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a male patient, in his 70’s, with multiple injuries sustained in a fall at home.
• 1721 hours Tasked by Police to carry out a search off-shore from Ruatoria for a report of an over-turned boat – before reaching the location the helicopter was stood down and diverted to the next mission.
• 1834 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Ruatoria to a female child suffering febrile seizures – the young patient was flown to Gisborne Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.

Wairoa and Wellington transfers and a water search

17 months ago - Tuesday 12th September
• 0250 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa Hospital with a flight Nurse and Midwife to a female patient, aged in her 20’s, with a pregnancy complication.
• 1524 hours Requested by hospital to transport a female patient aged in her 70’s with a cardiac condition to Wellington hospital. The patient was accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.
• 1827 hours Requested by Police to conduct a search at Ocean Beach, nothing unusual was found so the helicopter returned to base.

Cardiac transfer to Wellington

17 months ago - Monday 11th September
• 1410 hours Requested by hospital to transport a male patient aged in his 60’s with a cardiac condition to Wellington hospital. The patient was accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.

Moto-cross accident, cardiac condiation and transfer to Waikato

17 months ago - Saturday 9th September
• 1108 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Iwitahi (near Taupo) to an accident at a motocross event, where a male motorcyclist aged in his 20’s crashed – the patient was flown to Rotorua Hospital.
• 1644 hours Requested by hospital to transport a male patient aged in his 70’s with a cardiac condition to Wellington hospital. The patient was accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.
• 2328 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Gisborne for a possible patient transfer to Hamilton. The decision was made to transfer the patient by fixed wing air ambulance so the helicopter was not required and returned to Hastings base.

MVA at Oruanui

17 months ago - Thursday 7th September
• 1538 hours Tasked by Air Desk to an MVA at Oruanui (north of Taupo) where a female patient aged in her 50’s suffered a head injury as a result of the accident. The patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

A medical condition, gall stones and cadiac arrest

17 months ago - Tuesday 5th September
• 1317 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa hospital with a Flight Nurse to retrieve a male patient, in his 60’s, with a medical condition.
• 1456 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa hospital with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a female patient, in her 50’s, with gall stones.
• 2357 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Te Pohue to male patient, aged in his 40’s with a cardiac arrest. Sadly, the patient had deceased prior to our arrival.

Two Wairoa transfers

17 months ago - Monday 4th September
• 1057 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa hospital with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a male patient, in his 70’s, with a head injury.
• 1217 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa hospital with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a female patient, in her 50’s, with a medical condition.

Cadiac condition and MBA

17 months ago - Thursday 31st August
• 1036 Hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a male patient, aged in his 70’s, with a cardiac condition.
• 1430 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Waimarama to a MBA (motorbike accident) where a male patient, aged in his 50’s, suffered multi system trauma injuries.

Napier airport drop off and pickup

17 months ago - Sunday 27th August
• 1400 hours At the request of hospital transferred a female patient with a brain bleed to a pressurised fixed wing air ambulance at Napier Airport.
• 1437 hours At the request of hospital transferred 2 patients from Napier Airport to Wairoa Hospital.

Motorbike vs Truck accident

17 months ago - Saturday 26th August
• 1505 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a motorbike versus truck accident – upon arrival it was found the 47 y/o male motorcyclist suffered lacerations and possible fracture to his lower leg.
