Cardiac transfer from Wairoa

20 months ago - Tuesday 20th December
• 1211 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa to retrieve a male patient with cardiac issues – the mission was abandoned when low cloud was encountered near Waipataki Beach.

Wairoa and Raupaunga missions

20 months ago - Monday 19th December
• 0824 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa to retrieve a patient with stab wounds – the mission was abandoned when low cloud was encountered near Waipataki Beach.
• 1216 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa, with a Flight Nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a teenage male patient with stab wounds.
• 1348 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of a cardiac arrest at Raupaunga – sadly, the patient had deceased before our arrival.

Head injury resulting in seizures

20 months ago - Sunday 18th December
• 1200 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa, with a Doctor and Flight Nurse, to retrieve a 54 y/o female patient suffering from seizures as a result of a head injury.

Beacon activation and medical event

20 months ago - Saturday 17th December
• 1528 hours Tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to a beacon activation on the Mohaka River, on arrival it was found that a group of kayakers had been separated for the main party, there were no injuries so the missing kayakers were re-united with the kayaking party to continue there adventure.
• 2141 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of a collapsed person at Pourerere, adverse weather forced the helicopter to turn back to base.

Cardiac condition and beacon activation

20 months ago - Friday 16th December
• 1336 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 47 y/o male with a cardiac condition – the patient and the medical team were flown to Napier Airport for onward transport to Wellington hospital.
• 1745 hours Tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to a beacon activation at Lake Waikaremoana, where a 32 y/o male tramper was found with a leg laceration requiring hospital treatment – the tramper was flown to Hawkes Bay hospital.

Fall from a ladder

20 months ago - Thursday 15th December
• 1336 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Pōrangahau to a 64 y/o female who has fallen from a ladder and sustained head injuries, the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay hospital for assessment and treatment.

Fall from a bridge

20 months ago - Wednesday 14th December
• 1144 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Waipawa to a report of a 32 y/o male working on a bridge when he fell over the railing a falling 6 metres, the patient with moderate injuries was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.

MVA near Taihape

20 months ago - Tuesday 13th December
• 1246 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of an MVA near Taihape, when other emergency services arrived on the scene it was conformed the patient was deceased so the helicopter was stood down and returned to base.

Two hospital transfers from Wairoa

20 months ago - Monday 12th December
• 1414 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Flight Nurse to retrieve a 70 y/o female with a medical condition.
• 1730 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 24 y/o male patient with a medical condition.

Wairoa hospital cardiac transfer

20 months ago - Sunday 11th December
• 2200 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a doctor and flight nurse to retrieve a female patient, with a cardiac condition.
