Cadiac transfer to Napier Airport

2 years ago - Monday 14th March
• 1445 hours At the request of DHB flew a patient with a cardiac condition, accompanied by Doctor and flight Nurse to Napier Airport for further transport to Wellington Hospital.

MVA transfer from Wairoa

2 years ago - Sunday 13th March
• 1130 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa with a flight nurse and our own ICP to retrieve a male patient with injuries sustained in an MVA.

Wairoa transfers and a beacon activation

2 years ago - Friday 11th March
• 0550 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa Airport to meet a St John Ambulance for a tarmac handover of a 36 y/o male patient.
• 1200 hours Tasked by RCC to a beacon activation in the Kaweka Ranges. The beacon was activated by 2 fly fishermen who were expecting a pickup from a commercial operator who was overdue. As our team approached the location the commercial operator was uploading his clients, so our helicopter was not required.
• 1930 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa with a flight nurse and our own ICP to retrieve a teenage female patient with a medical condition.

Maternity patient from Wairoa

2 years ago - Wednesday 9th March
• 1620 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa to retrieve a female maternity patient.

Medical condition and a MVA

2 years ago - Tuesday 8th March
• 0630 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a 2 car MVA on SH- 5 at Te Pohue. Our crew transported a 48 y/o male with back injuries to Hawke’s bay Hospital and the Greeenlea helicopter from Taupo transported a patient to Waikato Hospital.
• 1845 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa to retrieve and elderly female patient with a medical condition.

Fall while abseiling on Te Mata Peak

2 years ago - Sunday 6th March
• 1445 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Te Mata Peak Park where a male, aged in his 20’s, slipped and fell whilst abseiling. The patient was able to be reached by our crew without need for a winch extraction. The patient, with multiple minor injuries, was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Missing Hunter

2 years ago - Saturday 5th March
• 0939 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa, with a doctor and flight nurse, to retrieve a male patient with head injury.
• 1650 hours Tasked by Police to conduct a search near Lake Waikaremoana for a missing hunter – the search was unsuccessful. We understand that a land based search located the hunter on Sunday morning.

Urgent Cardiac transfer to Wellington

2 years ago -
• 0410 hours Tasked by Air Desk to receive a helipad handover from a St John Ambulance of a 66 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital

2 years ago - Thursday 3rd March
• 1330 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa, with a doctor and flight nurse, to retrieve a female patient with a medical condition.

2 years ago - Wednesday 2nd March
• 1620 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa, with a doctor and nurse, to retrieve a young baby suffering seizures.
