PLB activation at Kaimanawa State Forest

2 years ago - Monday 31st January
• 1115 hours Tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to a PLB activation in the Kaimanawa State Forest. Upon arrival it was found that an 11 y/o female in the tramping party had fallen and sustained a neck and back injury. She was extracted by winch and flown to Taupo Hospital for follow up.

Two cardiac patients hospital transfers

2 years ago - Sunday 30th January
• 0500 hours Requested by DHB to transport a male patient with a cardiac condition, accompanied by an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.
• 1100 hours Tasked by Air Desk to New Plymouth Hospital to transfer a patient requiring advanced cardiac care to Waikato Hospital

Blackhead Beach

2 years ago - Saturday 29th January
• 0856 hours Tasked by Police to respond to a report of an over-turned boat at Blackhead Beach. The helicopter was stood down en route when it was reported that all occupants of the boat were safely back on land.

Wairoa Transfer

2 years ago - Friday 28th January
• 1435 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa, with a flight nurse, to retrieve a patient with a medical condition.

Wairoa Hospital - Adverse Weather

2 years ago - Monday 24th January
• 1015 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa with a flight nurse to retrieve a patient, but adverse weather and poor visibility was encountered en route north of Waipataki forcing the helicopter to return to base.

Wairoa Transfer and accidental beacon search

2 years ago - Sunday 23rd January
• 0830 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa with a flight team from the hospital to retrieve a male patient with injuries sustained in a MVA
• 1800 hours Tasked by RCC to investigate a beacon activation initially detected by Air New Zealand in southern Hawke’s Bay. Eventually the beacon was located near Ashley Clinton and was found to be an accidental activation of an old (time expired) beacon that had been discarded.

Wairoa Transfer

2 years ago - Saturday 22nd January
• 2023 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa with a flight team from the hospital to retrieve a male patient with a medical condition.

Wairoa for a patient who had a fall

2 years ago - Friday 21st January
• 1312 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa with a flight team from the hospital to retrieve a female patient with a head injury resulting from a fall from a ladder at home.

Child with head injury

2 years ago - Thursday 20th January
• 0120 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa with a flight team from the hospital to retrieve a young child with a head injury resulting from a fall at home.

Dislocated Hip and Wellington Transfer

2 years ago - Wednesday 19th January
• 0845 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Pakatutu in Kaweka Forest Park to an MVA where a male patient suffered a dislocated hip – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1145 hours At the request of DHB transported a male patient with a cardiac condition to Wellington Hospital – the patient was accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.
