MVA in Aramoana

3 years ago - Thursday 5th May
• 1624 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Aramoana to an MVA where a male patient aged in his 30’s sustained moderate injuries – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Farm bike accident and head injury

3 years ago - Wednesday 4th May
• 1215 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Kahuranaki to a farm bike accident at an inaccessible location on the farm, where the occupants were trapped in vehicle requiring extraction by local Fire Service. Once freed from the vehicle the occupant was winched out and flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital with serious injuries. (Because our helicopter was required for an urgent patient transfer to Wellington the Palmerston North helicopter was called to assist with recovery of the fire crews and their equipment).
• 1500 hours Requested by DHB for an urgent transfer of a patient with a serious head injury to Wellington Hospital.

Assistance for Tairawhiti Rescue Helicopter

3 years ago - Saturday 30th April
• 1115 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Gisborne Hospital (Tairawhiti Rescue Helicopter was busy on another mission) to transfer an elderly female patient with a cardiac condition, through to Waikato Hospital.

Wellington medical transfer

3 years ago - Friday 29th April
• 0950 hours Tasked by DHB to transfer a female patient with a cardiac condition, accompanied by Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital

Wairoa medical transfer

3 years ago - Monday 25th April
• 2100 hours Tasked by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital, with a DHB flight team, to retrieve a female patient with a medical condition.

Beach motorbike collision

3 years ago - Sunday 24th April
• 1230 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Blackhead Beach where 2 teenage boys on motor bikes on beach ran in to each other. One of the boys was flown to Hawke’s Bay hospital with lacerations and possible concussion.

Suspected emergency in Puketitiri

3 years ago - Saturday 23rd April
• 1700 hours Tasked by Police to conduct a search for a suspected emergency in the vicinity of Puketitiri– the helicopter turned back when it was found to be a false alarm.

Wairoa medical transfer

3 years ago - Friday 22nd April
• 1000 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa Hospital, with a Doctor and Flight Nurse, to retrieve a male patient, aged in his 70’s, with a medical condition.

Wairoa to Waipawa

3 years ago - Thursday 21st April
• 1100 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Waipawa to a male patient, aged in his 60’s, with a medical condition – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1955 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa Hospital, with a Doctor and Flight Nurse, to retrieve a female patient, aged in her 60’s, with a cardiac condition.

MVA and Mountain biking injury

3 years ago - Monday 18th April
• 1100 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Te Mata Peak to a mountain biker who had fallen in an inaccessible location requiring winch extraction. The female mountain biker aged in her 40’s, was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital, with serious injuries.
• 1740 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Whakaki to an MVA. A 32 y/o male, with internal injuries, was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
