Head Injury Wairoa

3 years ago - • 0030 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa, with an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse to a female patient with a head injury – she was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Cardiac Patient transfer from Waiora to H.B Hospital & Porangahau

3 years ago - • 0850 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa, with an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse to a female patient with a cardiac condition – she was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1750 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Porangahau to a female patient with a medical condition – she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a critical condition.

Te Araroa Head Injury

3 years ago - • 1045 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Te Araroa on the East Cape to a 45 y/o female patient with a head injury sustained in a fall – she was flown to Tauranga Hospital

MVA on Napier Taupo SH 5

3 years ago - • 1415 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Iwitahi (on SH-5 between Napier and Taupo) to a single vehicle MVA involving a female patient aged in her 50’s, presumed to have had a medical event causing the accident. The patient was flown to Rotorua Hospital.

Quad Bike Accident and two tranfsers from Wairoa to Hawkes Bay Hospital

3 years ago - • 0001 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia to a male patient, aged in his 30’s, with injuries sustained in a quad bike rollover – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital
• 1300 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa with an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse to a young child with head injuries as a result of a fall from a bicycle, the young person was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital
• 1830 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa with an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a male patient, aged in his 70’s with a medical condition.

Post Natal Patient Wairoa & MVA between Napier & Wairoa

3 years ago - • 0900 hours Requested by HBDHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital with an ICU Doctor and flight nurse to a female patient with post-natal complications.
• 1800 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of an MVA on the road between Napier and Wairoa, reports from the scene indicated the Rescue Helicopter was not required so the helicopter was stood down en route.

Missing Tramper Te Urewera National Park , Tangoio & Wairoa

3 years ago - • 1215 hours At the request to Rescue Coordination Centre flew to a location approx. 30km north of Lake Waikaremoana in the Te Urewera National Park to a report of a person missing from a party of trampers. After searching for approx. 1 hour information was received from RCC that the missing person had re-joined the group of trampers and the helicopter was not required. The helicopter flew to Wairoa Airport to refuel before returning to Hastings
• 1430 hours Soon after re-fueling in Wairoa the Air Desk requested the helicopter to respond to Tangoio Beach to a female patient with a suspected broken pelvis, the helicopter landed on the beach to uplift the patient who was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 2358 hours Requested by HBDHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital with a DHB Flight team to a young child with injuries sustained whilst playing in a park, the patient was transferred to Gisborne Hospital.

Mahia & Wairoa transfer to Hawkes Bay Hospital

3 years ago - • 1438 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia to a child suffering seizures – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1730 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa Hosptal with a DHB Flight team, to retrieve a male patient with a head injury.

Maternity Transfer from Wairoa & Injury at Mohaka

3 years ago - • 0545 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa with a midwife and flight nurse to a maternity patient requiring transport to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 0800 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mohaka Township to a male patient in his 30’s with a facial injury. He was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital

Jetski Accident Porangahau, MVA on SH2 Matawai

3 years ago - • 0800 hours Tasked by Police to a reported incident at Porongahau of 2 persons in the water after falling from a jet ski, the 2 persons had been rescued by a local fishing boat so helicopter transport was not required.
• 1615 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Matawai (SH-2 between Tauranga and Gisborne) to a 67 y/o male who was trapped in his car after it ran off the road. The lucky person was found by family members who has been searching for 2 days for the missing man. Prior to our arrival the Fire Service had set up a safe landing site on the state highway and were in the process of extracting the trapped occupant. Once the occupant was extracted the rescue helicopter flew the man, with mild to moderate injuries, to Gisborne Hospital.
