Wellington Transfer & Wairoa Stroke Patient

3 years ago - • 1645 hours Tasked by Air Desk to await a road ambulance to deliver a male patient to the helicopter centre, for immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital. The patient had a cardiac condition.
• 2100 hours Whilst on the return from Wellington paged by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa to a female patient suffering a stroke, the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Wellington Transfer for Cardiac Patient

3 years ago - • 1850 hours At the request of HBDHB flew a 55 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition, accompanied by ICU Doctor and Nurse, to Napier Airport for handover to a Fixed Wing Air Ambulance for transfer to Wellington.

Putorino MVA & Waiouru Motor Cycle Accident

3 years ago - Tasked by Air Desk to Putorino to an MVA, where a 29 y/o female sustained moderate injuries, she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.
• 1330 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Waiouru to a motor cycle accident, where a 30 y/o male motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries – he was flown to Palmerston North Hospital.

Wairoa

3 years ago - • 1545 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa, with a Doctor and flight Nurse, to retrieve an elderly female patient with a medical condition.

Stroke Patient Taihape

3 years ago - • 1050 hours Tasked by the Air Desk to Taihape to a male patient, aged in his 40’s, suffering from a stroke – the patient was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Search for Missing Diver

3 years ago - • 1500 hours At the request of Police conducted a search on Tokomaru Bay for a diver who was last seen entering to water to go fishing. After an extensive search of the coast line and sea the mission was aborted after the person was thought to be missing returned to his home.

Putorino MVA & Wairoa

3 years ago - • 1030 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Putorino to a motor cycle accident, the motorcyclist was in a critical condition so he was flown directly to the major trauma facility at Hamilton Hospital
• 2230 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa with an ICU Doctor and flight nurse to retrieve a male patient, aged in his 50”s, suffering from a stroke.

Busy Day for the Crew

3 years ago - • 0515 hours At the request of HBDHB transported a 55 y/o female patient with a cardiac condition, accompanied by an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.
• 0930 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Nuhaka to a female patient, who fell whilst at home injuring a hip – she was flown to Gisborne Hospital.
• 2100 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Waimarama Beach to a report of a male patient with a laceration and bleeding. The patient was assessed by our Intensive Care Paramedic and deemed not to require transport by helicopter.
• 2200 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia to an MVA, where a male patient suffered chest injuries – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.

Cardiac Patient to Wellington & Wairoa to Hawkes Bay transfer

3 years ago - • 1030 hours At the request of HBDHB transported a 49 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition, accompanied by an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.
• 1610 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa with a DHB flight team to retrieve 2 patients – a male patient with a cardiac complaint and a male patient with a stroke – both patients were flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital.

Tarawera Motor Vehicle Accident

3 years ago - • 0955 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Tarawera to a truck versus minibus road accident with multiple occupants. The mass casualty incident involved responses with helicopters from Hastings, Gisborne and Palmerston North, plus several road ambulances. The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter transported the most critical patient to Hawkes Bay Hospital.
