Mahia & Wairoa transfer to Hawkes Bay Hospital

4 years ago - • 1438 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia to a child suffering seizures – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1730 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa Hosptal with a DHB Flight team, to retrieve a male patient with a head injury.

Maternity Transfer from Wairoa & Injury at Mohaka

4 years ago - • 0545 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa with a midwife and flight nurse to a maternity patient requiring transport to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 0800 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mohaka Township to a male patient in his 30’s with a facial injury. He was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital

Jetski Accident Porangahau, MVA on SH2 Matawai

4 years ago - • 0800 hours Tasked by Police to a reported incident at Porongahau of 2 persons in the water after falling from a jet ski, the 2 persons had been rescued by a local fishing boat so helicopter transport was not required.
• 1615 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Matawai (SH-2 between Tauranga and Gisborne) to a 67 y/o male who was trapped in his car after it ran off the road. The lucky person was found by family members who has been searching for 2 days for the missing man. Prior to our arrival the Fire Service had set up a safe landing site on the state highway and were in the process of extracting the trapped occupant. Once the occupant was extracted the rescue helicopter flew the man, with mild to moderate injuries, to Gisborne Hospital.

Puketapu

4 years ago - • 1040 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Puketapu to a male patient with a minor medical condition, after assessment at the scene it was decided that transport by road ambulance was appropriate.

Pourere Drowning & Waipawa to Hawkes Bay Hospital

4 years ago - • 0850 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Pourerere Beach to a reported drowning – the patient was deceased before arrival of the helicopter crew.
• 1400 hours Requested by Air Desk to fly to Waipawa to a male patient in his 80’s suffering a sudden collapse – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further assessment.

Taihape Allergic Reaction to Bee Sting

4 years ago - • 1735 hours At the request to the Air Desk flew to Taihape to a 68 y/o male patient with a severe allergic reaction to a bee sting, he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.

Mohaka & Wairoa

4 years ago - Monday 21st December
• 1025 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Waihau River (near Mohaka township) for a 70 y/o male with a medical condition, he was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for follow up treatment
• 1600 hours Tasked by HBDHB to fly to Wairoa with a DHB flight team to retrieve a female patient with a medical condition.

Poukawa Motorcycle Accident & Wellington Hospital Transfer

4 years ago - • 1415 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Middle Road in Poukawa to a motorcycle accident, where a male motorcyclist sustained a serious head injury requiring direct transfer to Wellington Hospital.
• 1930 hours At the request of HBDHB transferred a male patient, aged in his 30’s, accompanied by an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse to Wellington Hospital for follow up cardiac treatment.

A Busy Day for the Crew

4 years ago - • 0015 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Waipukurau to a single vehicle accident – a female patient, aged in her 40’s with moderate injuries, was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for assessment and treatment.
• 1540 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Taupo to an initial report of a water rescue – the helicopter was stood down en route.
• 1630 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a single vehicle accident on SH-5 at Te Haroto – the occupant of the vehicle was assessed at the scene and did not require transport.
• 2000 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of an MVA along SH-5, but the rescue helicopter was stood down en route.

Wellington Hospital Transfer

4 years ago - • 1220 hours At the request of HBDHB transported a male patient with a medical condition to Wellington Hospital.
