Wellington Hospital Transfer

4 years ago - Tuesday 18th August
• 1430 hours At the request of DHB transported a male patient with a cardiac condition, accompanied by ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.

Wairoa Hospital followed by a medical condition in Tikokino

4 years ago - Monday 17th August
• 0500 hours Tasked by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital with a midwife to retrieve a female patient with a pregnancy complication – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital
• 2300 hours tasked by Air Desk to Tikokino in Central Hawkes’ Bay to a male patient with a medical condition – he was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.

A busy Saturday for the crew

4 years ago - Saturday 15th August
• 1100 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a single vehicle MVA on SH-5, near Te Pohue, to a male occupant of the vehicle, who had sustained head injuries as a result of the crash – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1415 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Turoa Ski Field to a female skier, aged in her 30’s with injuries sustained whilst ski-ing, she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.
• 1700 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Blackhead Beach, sadly the patient had passed away before the arrival of the helicopter and crew.

Mahia for male patient with a medical condition

4 years ago - Friday 14th August
• 0300 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia for a male patient, aged in his 60’s, with a medical condition, he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Wairoa Hospital Transfer

4 years ago - Wednesday 12th August
• 2030 hours Tasked by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital with an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a female patient with a serious medical condition.

Back injuries due to accident skiing

4 years ago - Monday 10th August
• 1330 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Turoa Ski Field to a 15y/o boy who sustained back injuries as a result of a fall whilst ski-ing. The young skier was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.

A busy Sunday for the team

4 years ago - Sunday 9th August
1245 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a bush location east of Taupo to a female tramper, who fell and sustained a serious leg injury – the patient was winched out of the bush then flown to Taupo Hospital.
2330 hours Tasked by DHB to fly to Wairoa, with a flight nurse, to retrieve a male patient, aged in his 70’s, with a medical problem.

Truck accident at Te Pohue

4 years ago - Saturday 8th August
1000 hours Tasked by Air Desk to SH-5, north of Te Pohue, where a truck had run off the road and the driver was trapped in the cabin of the truck. When the driver was eventually freed after a long period of entrapment a decision was made that it was in the patient’s best interests for our Intensive Care Paramedic to transport the patient by road ambulance to Hawkes Bay Hospital.

Two hospital transfers for the crew

4 years ago - Tuesday 4th August
0330 hours Attempted to fly to Wairoa Hospital, with an ICU Doctor and Flight nurse to retrieve a patient but heavy fog meant the helicopter turned back to base.
1300 hours Tasked by DHB to transport a male patient, aged in his 70’s with a cardiac issue, accompanied by and ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.

4 years ago - Monday 3rd August
1115 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa Hospital, with a flight nurse, to retrieve a female patient, aged in her 40’s, with a medical condition.
