Patient with medical condition from Wairoa Hospital

• 1415 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa Hospital to retrieve another male patient, aged in his 70’s, with a medical condition.

4 years ago - Monday 20th July
• 1430 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa Hospital to retrieve a male patient, aged in his 70’s, with a medical condition.

4 years ago - Thursday 16th July
• 0530 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa Hospital with a Doctor and Nurse to retrieve a female patient with a medical condition – the patient was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Attempted transfer to Palmerston North Hospital

4 years ago - Tuesday 14th July
• 1530 hours At the request of HBDHB, the crew attempted to transport a female patient with a medical condition, from Hawke’s Bay Hospital to Palmerston North Hospital. Adverse weather encountered en route prevented the helicopter from completing the mission, so the patient was delivered to Napier Airport for a fixed wing air ambulance to complete the mission to Palmerston North.

• 1145 Hours Tasked by Air Desk to Ruakawa to a motor cross accident – the teenage male motor cyclist was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Female motorcyclist near Taupo

4 years ago - Saturday 11th July
• 1245 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a forest near Taupo to a motor cross accident – the female motor cyclist with moderate injuries was flown to Rotorua Hospital.

Critical mission to Waipawa, followed by a Wellington Hospital mission and a MVA

4 years ago - Friday 10th July
• 0530 Hours Tasked by Air Desk to Waipawa to a male patient aged in his 70’s with a critical medical condition – he was flown directly to Wellington Hospital.
• 1645 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa Hospital with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a male patient with a chest pain.
• 2045 Hours Tasked by Air Desk to Porongahau to an MVA where a female patient aged in her 50’s, suffered head injuries – she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Critical head injury and Wairoa Hospital Transfer

4 years ago - Thursday 9th July
• 0930 Hours Tasked by Air Desk to Raurimu (in Central North Island) to an MVA, where a male patient aged in his 60’s, suffered a critical head injury – he was flown to Waikato Hospital.
• 1845 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa Hospital, with a flight nurse to retrieve a male patient with a medical condition.

A busy Tuesday for the crew

4 years ago - Tuesday 7th July
• 0930 Hours Tasked by Air Desk to Wairoa to meet a St John Ambulance with a male patient, aged in his 70’s, with a medical condition – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
• 1330 Hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Tutira to attend an accident in a forest where a man sustained a laceration whilst using a chain saw – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.
• 1700 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of an MVA at Ashley Clinton – the helicopter was stood down en route when reports from the scene indicated the helicopter crew was not required.

Wairoa Hospital Transfer before a critical cardiac patient was transferred to Waikato Hospital

4 years ago - Friday 3rd July
• 1600 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa Hospital with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a male patient with a medical condition
• 1900 hours Tasked by Air Desk to meet a road ambulance at Eskdale with a male patient, suffering a confirmed heart attack, the patient was uplifted and flown directly to Waikato Hospital for an emergency intervention
