Te Pohue accident

4 years ago - Thursday 5th March
1300 hours Tasked by Air Desk to SH-5 at Te Pohue where a vehicle ran off the road and rolled down a bank, the male occupant, who was suffering minor head injuries, was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Mohaka River Accident

4 years ago - Tuesday 3rd March
1130 hours Tasked by Air Desk to the Mohaka River where a teenage male, on a rafting trip, dislocated his knee, he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.

Mahia Rescue

4 years ago - Monday 2nd March
1545 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia to attend to a male patient, who was involved in an altercation and sustained a head injury – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.

Multiple missions on Sunday

4 years ago - Sunday March 1st
1230 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Tongariro Crossing where a 27 y/o British tourist fell and injured an ankle – she was flown to Taupo Hospital.
1645 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Fern Hill to a motorcross event where a 20 y/o male motorcyclist was involved in a major accident resulting in critical abdominal injuries. After initial treatment at the scene by the Intensive Care Paramedic the patient was transferred to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Wairoa Hospital

4 years ago - Saturday February 29th
0900 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa Hospital with a flight nurse to retrieve a male patient, aged in his 30’s, with a medical condition

Cape Kidnappers Rescue Mission

4 years ago - Friday February 28th
1545 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Cape Kidnappers where a 49 y/o American tourist on a horse whilst trekking adventure fell and injured her hip and shoulder – she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Pourerere Beach

4 years ago - Thursday February 27th
1715 hours tasked by the Air Desk to Pourerere Beach to a male patient who fell from a moving vehicle, the patient was in a critical condition, so after initial treatment at the scene from our Intensive Care Paramedic, he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Wairoa Hospital Transfer

4 years ago - Tuesday February 25th
1930 hours Tasked by HBDHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital with a nurse and midwife to a female patient with pregnancy complications – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital

A busy Sunday for the crew

4 years ago - Sunday 23rd February
• 1130 hours Tasked by Air Desk to an MVA near Waipukurau, where a child was suffering abdominal injuries as a result of the accident, he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital whilst other passengers involved in the accident were transported to Waipukuau Medical Centre
• 1450 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia to a quad bike rollover on a farm, where two female riders of the quad bike suffered moderate to serious injuries – both patients were flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1730 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Tutira to two female patients involved in an MVA, both patients were flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Teenage child with head injuries

4 years ago - Saturday 22nd February
• 1530 hours Tasked by Air Desk to an MVA at Mangaweka near Taihape, due to low cloud in the vicinity of the accident it was necessary to turn back and return to Hastings Base.
• 1700 hours Flew to Wairoa with a DHB flight team to retrieve a teenage child with a head injury, the child was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
