Flemington and Wairoa

5 years ago - Tuesday 1st September
• 1630 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Flemington to an elderly female (Hastings Resident) with a medical condition – she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital to follow up treatment.
• 1945 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa Hospital with a flight nurse to retrieve a female patient with a medical condition.

A busy Sunday for the team

5 years ago - Sunday 23rd August
• 1600 hours Tasked by Air desk to Otahome, on the Wairarapa Coast due east of Masterton, to a male suffering pelvic and other injuries as a result of a quad bike accident – the patient was flown to Palmerston North Hospital.
• 1830 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly from Palmerston North to a rural location north east of Hunterville to a new born baby and mum, the mother and baby were flown to Palmerston North Hospital.

Wellington Hospital

5 years ago - Saturday 22nd August
• 1800 hours At the request of DHB transported a male patient with a cardiac condition, accompanied by ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.

Lake Waikaremoana

5 years ago - Wednesday 19th August
• 0900 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Lake Waikaremoana to a male patient with a diabetic condition, after treatment at the scene, the patient declined to be transported.

Wellington Hospital Transfer

5 years ago - Tuesday 18th August
• 1430 hours At the request of DHB transported a male patient with a cardiac condition, accompanied by ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.

Wairoa Hospital followed by a medical condition in Tikokino

5 years ago - Monday 17th August
• 0500 hours Tasked by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital with a midwife to retrieve a female patient with a pregnancy complication – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital
• 2300 hours tasked by Air Desk to Tikokino in Central Hawkes’ Bay to a male patient with a medical condition – he was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.

A busy Saturday for the crew

5 years ago - Saturday 15th August
• 1100 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a single vehicle MVA on SH-5, near Te Pohue, to a male occupant of the vehicle, who had sustained head injuries as a result of the crash – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1415 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Turoa Ski Field to a female skier, aged in her 30’s with injuries sustained whilst ski-ing, she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.
• 1700 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Blackhead Beach, sadly the patient had passed away before the arrival of the helicopter and crew.

Mahia for male patient with a medical condition

5 years ago - Friday 14th August
• 0300 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia for a male patient, aged in his 60’s, with a medical condition, he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Wairoa Hospital Transfer

5 years ago - Wednesday 12th August
• 2030 hours Tasked by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital with an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a female patient with a serious medical condition.

Back injuries due to accident skiing

5 years ago - Monday 10th August
• 1330 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Turoa Ski Field to a 15y/o boy who sustained back injuries as a result of a fall whilst ski-ing. The young skier was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.
