Motorcyclist accident at Te Awanga

3 years ago - Wednesday 12th January
• 2000 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Clifton to a report of a motorcycle accident on the beach – the male motorcyclist with head and chest injuries was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Wairoa and Porangahau

3 years ago - Tuesday 11th January
• 0420 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa with a midwife and flight nurse to a maternity patient
• 1328 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Porangahau to a male patient with breathing difficulties, he was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Cardiac Transfer

3 years ago - Sunday 9th January
• 0330 Hours Tasked by Air Desk for a helipad handover from a St John Road Ambulance of a 61 y/o male patient with a cardiac complaint requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital.

MVAs in Hawke's Bay

3 years ago - Saturday 8th January
• 0130 hours Initially tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to a beacon activation near Tuai, which was then changed to an Air Desk activation to a MVA, where the vehicle was down a steep bank. A female occupant of the vehicle was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1145 hours Requested by DHB to fly a female patient to Waikato Hospital, accompanied by Doctor and Flight Nurse – the same patient from the Tuai accident.
• 1500 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Porangahau to a female patient with a broken leg resulting from a quad bike accident.

Wairoa Hospital

3 years ago - Friday 7th January
• 1055 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa, with a midwife and flight nurse to retrieve a maternity patient.

Medical Condition in Nuhaka

3 years ago - Wednesday 5th January
• 0215 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Nuhaka to a female patient with a medical condition – she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for assessment and treatment.

Hospital transfers

3 years ago - Monday 3rd January
• 0002 hours At the request of DHB transported a 50 y/o female with a cardiac condition, accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.
• 0130 hours On the return journey from Wellington transported a 56 y/o male patient back to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1600 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa, with a doctor and Flight nurse, to a young patient with injuries from a MBA.

Looking after the HB Community

3 years ago - Sunday 2nd January
• 0740 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Waipukurua to meet a St John Ambulance with a male patient suffering from a heart attack and requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital.
• 1130 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Eskdale Mountain Bike Park to a teenage male mountain-biker with a dislocated hip.
• 1250 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa, with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a female patient with a cardiac complaint.

Two missions to Wairoa

3 years ago - Saturday 1st January
• 0040 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa to a male patient with burns.
• 2015 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa, with a Doctor and Flight Nurse, to retrieve a patient with injuries sustained in a motor bike accident.

Busy summer season

3 years ago - Friday 31st December
• 1430 hours Requested by DHB to fly a male patient suffering a stroke, and accompanied by a DHB flight team, to Wellington Hospital.
• 1930 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Putorino to a teenage boy with a broken leg.
• 2200 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital to retrieve a young child with a broken arm.
